Membership terms
Clear expectations before a family joins.
These are structured pilot terms, not the final solicitor-approved contract. The company identity, vendor schedules, cancellation wording and final compatibility commitments must be completed before taking public payments.
Pilot draft · No public payment should be taken against this draft
1. The service
The intended service is a private family control centre for registered devices: protected web-access pause and resume, supported protection profiles, verified family-email breach monitoring, security-event alerts and a command audit trail. Each live function requires a compatible enrolled endpoint, gateway or provider connection identified in the order summary.
2. Important limitations
The website cannot control an arbitrary device or router without an enforcement connection. Launch endpoint controls use DNS policy: they do not disable a network interface, read messages, control offline app use or guarantee that cached, direct-IP, alternative-resolver or non-DNS traffic will stop. They cannot block every harmful destination. No service can prevent every scam, harmful contact, grooming attempt or cyber incident. The service does not claim grooming detection and is not an emergency, safeguarding-monitoring, legal, financial or insurance service.
3. Parent or device-owner responsibilities
The customer must be at least 18, have authority to install the selected controls, use them lawfully and transparently, provide age-appropriate explanations and maintain accurate device information. The service must never be used to monitor a partner, former partner or another adult without lawful authority, or for stalking, harassment or coercive control.
4. Price and renewal
The intended founding price is £19.99 monthly or £199 annually, including VAT where applicable. Optional assisted setup is £99 once-off. The final checkout will show the recurring price, renewal date and cancellation rights before payment.
5. Cancellation
The production service will provide straightforward online cancellation, renewal reminders and the applicable cooling-off information. Monitoring subscriptions and provider enforcement connections will be removed or disabled when membership ends.
6. Support and incidents
Pilot member support aims to respond within two UK working days and is not continuously monitored. Family Digital Defence does not monitor alerts continuously. Immediate danger should be reported directly to emergency services and suspected child exploitation through the appropriate police or CEOP route.
7. Final legal details
The operating company, registered address, complaints process, governing-law wording, liability provisions and complete provider schedules will be inserted following specialist review.
