What families need to know.
What can I control from the website?+
On a supported connected device, the pilot can apply a safer-web profile and pause or resume normal browsing. Breach alerts, deeper device security and private connection controls stay unavailable until their supplier integrations are verified.
Does it include antivirus and ransomware protection?+
That is the intended paid-launch standard, delivered through an approved endpoint protection partner. It is not part of the current pilot and will not be sold as included until the dashboard can show reliable per-device protection status.
Can it switch off Wi-Fi completely?+
No. The current control pauses normal domain-based browsing through an installed protection connection. It does not switch off the physical Wi-Fi control or guarantee that every app and protocol stops.
Can it detect grooming?+
No responsible network-security service can promise that without intrusive access to private conversations. The service can reduce exposure to known harmful destinations and provide clear incident help without reading messages.
Does it work away from home?+
Safer-web controls can follow a device when its installed protection remains active on another Wi-Fi network or mobile data. Home-network protection alone cannot follow a phone away from home.
